KCR announces that Mike Jagielski, KCR's Head of Project Management and Data Management, has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the company.

KCR today announced the appointment of Mike Jagielski to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mike Jagielski is a seasoned leader with more than 15 years of experience in clinical trials industry focusing on global leadership, cross-cultural integration and management development across a wide range of geographical locations including the US, Colombia, India and China. His extensive expertise will considerably enhance KCR's ability to deliver industry-leading clinical research operations projects.

Mike Jagielski joined KCR in January 2012 as the Head of Data Management and subsequently took over the higher post of Head of Project Management, where he was in charge of providing strategic leadership to the team of experienced project managers responsible for the realization of all full-service and large-scale clinical research operations projects at KCR.

Prior to joining KCR, Mike Jagielski spent 13 years with Merck & Co., where he held various positions of increasing responsibilities in Germany, Belgium, Finland and the US. Most recently he served as Regional Director for the Clinical Data Management Operations in Americas, where he was leading Americas' Data Management Operations Team comprising over 100 managers and data management experts in Colombia and the US. Throughout his Merck career, Mike has been a key player in a number of large scale operations initiatives such as the implementation of Merck Data Management Center Model or the restructuring of Merck's Pharmacovigilance case processing. As a part of the Pharmacovigilance project he was responsible for deliverables of 180 Product Safety case processing experts in Colombia, India and China, including full integration of off-shoring teams with headquarters in the US. Mike has a long track record of creating successful strategies and also implementing them.

Mike Jagielski received numerous awards including 2002 WHHM Marketing Award as Best Operational Initiative for "CDSP web-based data capture system" project in 2003, 2003 WHHM Marketing Award as Best Operational Initiative for "One Merck Clinical Trial Web Sites" project in 2004 and 2009 Merck Research Laboratories Innovation Award for "Product Safety Sourcing Project" in 2009.

Mike is bringing global strategic clinical operations expertise together with international leadership experience to the KCR team.

Mike Jagielski received a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences.
