RootCamp Gmbh – A SpinLab Incubator

The RootCamp is an incubator for technology-oriented startups and intrapreneurs from the agriculture and nutrition sector. The incubator was founded in the capital of the German state of Lower Saxony by the Leipzig based Accelerator SpinLab and the fertilizer and salt producer K+S from Kassel. The different programs are targeted at young startups and entrepreneurial teams who want to turn their idea into a marketable product. Furthermore support is offered with intense coaching, a network of mentors, industry and investors as well as the curriculum of the SpinLab accelerator. Older startups can implement their technology in the industry right away. Depending on the specific program the teams stay in the incubator for three up to twelve months and get a financial grant of up to € 55.000. The innovations for corporate partners result from a joint effort to identify problems and develop suitable solutions. In workshops where corporate partners, startups and external experts get together, new ideas are outlined and technological breakthroughs are boosted. The implementation of the new solutions is a fundamental part of the program – the developed solutions are optimized for the market entry or cooperation project during the incubator program. *
