Boundless Bio, a next-generation precision oncology company developing innovative therapeutics directed against extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) in aggressive cancers, today announced that it has appointed Neil Abdollahian, as Chief Business Officer.

“I am pleased to welcome Neil to our management team as Chief Business Officer,” said Zachary Hornby, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boundless Bio. “Neil has significant leadership experience in building preclinical and clinical stage companies and creating value for patients and shareholders. He joins at a pivotal time as we advance our innovative pipeline of ecDNA directed precision oncology therapeutics towards the clinic and engage in strategic transactions.”

Mr. Abdollahian has 20 years of experience in the biotech industry and was previously Chief Business Officer at Cidara Therapeutics where he led their strategic partnerships, including both product and platform deals, with Janssen Pharmaceuticals and MundiPharma. Prior to Cidara, Neil was Managing Director of Clarity Point Partners, a strategic advisory firm focused on corporate development initiatives including product acquisitions and licensing for biopharmaceutical companies. From 2008 to 2013, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Trius Therapeutics, where he led the corporate partnering initiatives that resulted in the Asia-Pacific and emerging markets strategic partnership with Bayer Healthcare, and ultimately, the acquisition by Cubist Pharmaceuticals. Before Trius, Mr. Abdollahian served as Director of Special Projects in a biopharmaceutical focused investment bank in Sydney, Australia, and prior to that he held various business development positions focused on closing high-value transactions while at Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Isis Pharmaceuticals and Neurogen Corporation.

Mr. Abdollahian holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, an M.S. in the biomedical sciences from the University of New Mexico Medical School and a B.S. in biology from George Washington University.
