With the novAA® 800 , Analytik Jena is presenting a new Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS) at the analytica trade fair in Munich, which is pushing the boundaries of analytical routine applications. An instrumental design with flame, graphite furnace, and hydride technologies on one platform – along with an unparalleled variety of accessories — give users analytical capabilities that are unprecedented for the AAS segment. The easy-to-use novAA® 800 is especially designed to meet the demands of industrial process labs — for example in the food, environmental, or chemical industries– where moderate sample quantities have to be analyzed both cost-effectively and reliably.

“The novAA® 800 is the most powerful entry-level AAS for all kinds of routine labs,” says Ulrich Krauss, CEO of Analytik Jena AG. “It is our range of accessories in particular that benefit the AAS technology in terms of flexibility and performance. Thanks to these improvements, the AAS technology is now ready for today’s industry labs. Besides, costs per sample and for training applications, among other things are reduced significantly by the novAA® series.”

The novAA® 800 is designed for the highest possible flexibility to meet the demands of many target industries. In the food industry, for example, bulk elements — such as Calcium, Iron, and Zinc — are typically analyzed by flame technique; while traces – such as Arsenic or Mercury — can be readily analyzed by means of graphite furnace or hydride technology - even unattended or over-night. The ability to easily change the atomizer allows labs that measure both high- and low-concentration ranges high ease of use.

Thanks to a large range of accessories, the novAA® 800 can be optimized to meet individual requirements such as sample throughput, precision, and ease of use. The novAA® 800 is available in three variations: the novAA® 800 with flame and hydride technology; the novAA® 800 G with graphite furnace and hydride technology; and the novAA® 800 D, which integrates all three technologies in one system for maximal flexibility. Together with the contrAA® and ZEEnit series, the compact novAA® 800 series completes Analytik Jena's comprehensive and technologically well-advanced AAS portfolio.
