Alvascience is a company specialized in developing software tools for cheminformatics and Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR).

Besides the well-known tools covering the entire QSAR model development like alvaDesc, Alvascience has recently released its innovative solution for de novo molecular design, alvaBuilder.

alvaBuilder is based on proprietary technology that, using genetic algorithms and graph-based representation, can generate novel molecules having a desirable set of properties.

Using alvaBuilder, the new molecules can be required to be similar to given target molecules or to have certain molecular descriptor values or to match or not match one or more specific substructures. You can combine all the desired properties in the definition of a score function. The genetic algorithms will generate new molecules by optimizing your defined score function.

alvaBuilder is available as a desktop application with an easy to use GUI that allows users to manage the de novo molecule generation.

alvaBuilder, like all Alvascience tools is a 64bit application and it is available for Windows, Linux and macOS.
